This is not quite the last community post of the year, but 2025 is nearly to a close and preparations are underway for next year already. Both the AtoM and the Archivematica roadmaps have been updated to reflect the current work on each project. Each project is working towards a release (AtoM 2.10.1 and Archivematica 1.19), so expect further announcements soon. In the meantime, follow along with the roadmaps and GitHub milestones.

This month we are hosting the last community development meetings of 2025. We will be running them again in 2026, so if you are thinking of contributing to AtoM or Archivematica, get in touch with the Community Team at contributors@artefactual.com.

The community pages on the project websites have been updated too. AtoM’s community page now reflects our current contributor initiatives and includes translation information for community contributors.

Archivematica’s community page has been updated to include the user community and developer community under one page. The project page no longer includes our Code of Conduct, but instead points to where it is in our GitHub repository.

If you’re a current contributor, past contributor or thinking about contribution to the AtoM or Archivematica projects in future, be sure to check our Contributors Portal. There's a lot of useful information on contributing, as well as links to relevant project resources to get you started. There’s more useful information updates planned for 2026 as well.
