Now that summer holidays are over, the community has been back working on both projects. There have been new community pull requests for both AtoM and Archivematica. Email enquiries about potential contribution are up too; it’s great to see the community’s work and ideas improving the projects.

In August, AtoM had a minor release, version 2.10.2. It involved addressing a security issue and added some dependency updates. Major releases are still in progress and contributions from the community for code or documentation are very welcome!

Community Development Meetings

We had well attended community development meetings this month, especially at the Archivematica meeting where we welcomed new faces and said farewell to others. There were some great discussions in each meeting, so please remember to look at the minutes, which are uploaded at the end of the meeting on the AtoM and Archivematica GitHub wiki pages.

Remember, these meetings are open to all contributors and potential contributors! There are a lot of ways to contribute to the projects, from submitting code, to writing issues for bugs or commenting on existing issues, and updating the documentation.

The AtoM community development meeting is held on the third Thursday of the month at 11.30am Eastern time. The joining link can be found on the wiki page.

The Archivematica community development meeting is held on the fourth Thursday of the month at 11.30am Eastern time. The joining link can be found on the wiki page.

Roadmap updates

You can view the latest AtoM and Archivematica roadmaps, which will continue to change as we work towards major releases for both. We welcome your feedback, so please contact contributors@artefactual.com or start a thread in the AtoM or Archivematica user forums to discuss.
