Spring has sprung in the Northern Hemisphere. And the confusion over all the different Daylight Savings dates has finished. While many people in the community had holidays at the start of the month, we finished strong with new faces at the community development meetings and contributions of all kinds.
Roadmap updates
You can view the latest AtoM and Archivematica roadmaps, which will continue to change as we work towards major releases for both. We welcome your feedback, so please contact contributors@artefactual.com or start a thread in the AtoM or Archivematica user forums to discuss.
We are grateful to the community for their code contributions and try to reflect their work in our roadmap as well. We do not have fixed upcoming release dates, but you can find out more by checking the roadmaps, community development meeting minutes and joining the user forums for announcements.
Community Development Meetings
We had a record number of Archivematica community contributors from different organisations at the last meeting. It was great to have a lot of experienced people on the call to join in on discussions with the project maintainers. Remember, these meetings are open to all contributors and potential contributors! There are a lot of ways to contribute to the projects, from submitting code, to writing issues for bugs or commenting on existing issues, and updating the documentation.
The AtoM community development meeting is held on the third Thursday of the month at 11.30am Eastern time. The joining link can be found on the wiki page.
The Archivematica community development meeting is held on the fourth Thursday of the month at 11.30am Eastern time. The joining link can be found on the wiki page.
You can check your meeting time by using the timezone calculator.
Contributor Gatherings for 2026 are set to start in June. We’ll be announcing more on the forum in the next few weeks!
Part of the user community? We have online user forums, as well as lists of community-run user groups for AtoM and Archivematica.
