March has been a busy month for Artefactual and the open source community. We held an extra Archivematica community development meeting and met with some new contributors. It is exciting to welcome more people into the growing open source communities around both projects!
Roadmap updates
You can view the latest AtoM and Archivematica roadmaps, which will continue to change as we work towards major releases for both. We welcome your feedback, so please contact us at contributors@artefactual.com or start a thread in the AtoM or Archivematica user forums to discuss.
Community Development Meetings for the rest of 2026
After reviewing the last few months, we decided to keep Community Development Meetings open to all contributors and potential contributors. Links and joining details will remain the same. Please contact us at contributors@artefactual.com if you have any questions.
You might have missed this, but British Columbia has announced that it will have permanent daylight savings time and no longer change clocks back for winter. Currently, we schedule these meetings based on Vancouver’s timezone. However, from April 2026 onwards, we will schedule meetings based on a timezone that still changes from daylight savings time. For that reason, our meetings will now start at 11.30am Eastern time. You can check your meeting time by using the timezone calculator.
The AtoM community development meeting is on the third Thursday of the month at 11.30am Eastern time. The joining link can be found on the wiki page.
The Archivematica community meeting will be on the fourth Thursday of the month at 11.30am Eastern time. The joining link can be found on the wiki page.
Contributor Gatherings for 2026 are set to start in June. Stay tuned for more details in April and May!
Part of the user community? We have online user forums, as well as lists of community-run user groups for AtoM and Archivematica.
