Join Artefactual and Imagiz on January 13, 2026 at 9:00am GMT or 5:00pm GMT for a one hour introduction and update on Project Mnemian. Â
Founded by Imagiz and supported by Artefactual Systems, Mnemian is a prototype designed to help archivists make sense of the new Records in Contexts (RiC) model. Â
Mnemian retrieves ISAD-compliant descriptive records from AtoM and transforms this data into connected RiC elements. It then enables archivists to explore their data in these new linked-data structures, and to quickly create additional connections and metadata enrichment that isn’t supported in the ISAD, ISAAR, or ISDIAH standards.
Questions that inspired Mnemian’s inception include:
What does descriptive archival metadata look like when it’s transformed from a traditional hierarchy into a linked-data (graph) model?
Do we need to migrate our data, or can we have both?
How do we work with complex data structures and connections without needing to fully understand every aspect of the underlying data model? How can we speed up record processing?
Does AI have a place in the archival workflow?Â
