This is not quite the last community post of the year, but 2025 is nearly to a close and preparations are underway for next year already. Both the AtoM and the Archivematica roadmaps have been updated to reflect the current work on each project. Today, and everyday, we celebrate digital preservation and digital sovereignty. This years theme of “Why Preserve” could not feel more fitting. In case you missed it, this momentous occasion happened on Friday, September 26th. For the first time, Archivematica and AtoM had major releases on the same day. Archivematica 1.18.0 and AtoM 2.10.0 are now available thanks to the hard work of the project maintainers. Archivematica 1.18 includes a major upgrade to ElasticSearch 8.x.
