I'm Arty McFactual, the officially unofficial mascot of Artefactual Systems. Recently I was in Ghent for the iPres conference. I like fries.
Arty's Story
Inspired by Gritty, the mascot for the Philadelphia Flyers, Arty was created with care in MS Paint in February 2019. His original countenance included teeth and rather scribbly arms and legs but he was refined into his current look by the end of that year. He is the purported lovechild of Ada Lovelace and Sir Hilary Jenkinson but this has yet to be proven in the records. As a representative of Artefactual, Arty is a friendly, helpful chap. He has appeared on Artefactual swag such as magnets and aprons and he regularly appears on conference stickers. He is an ambassador for open source and he welcomes all to the Artefactual community.
