Steve is an alumnus of Simon Fraser University (Bachelor of Science) and the British Columbia Institute of Technology (Diploma of Technology and Windows Application Development in C#.NET). His early work was in software development for the financial and health services sectors, but he later veered into the library world, working as a Programmer Analyst at the University of Saskatchewan Library. Before coming to Artefactual in June 2016 Steve worked with AtoM and Islandora.

Steve’s extensive experience using C, C++, C# and PHP for the production of commercial database applications is supplemented by a skillset that includes XML, JSON, HTML and Bootstrap, and production experience in configuring and administering MySQL databases. Happily for Artefactual, he also has server administration experience and likes to help us out with dev ops when needed.
