Sarah joined Artefactual in May 2019 as a Systems Archivist based in the UK. She joined the team from the University of Oxford’s Bodleian Libraries where she was a Research Fellow (Outreach and Training) for the Digital Preservation at Oxford and Cambridge project.
Previously, she was a photographer involved in numerous digitisation projects and digital preservation training at State Library of Victoria. While working with archival collections in Australia, Sarah graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Masters of Information Studies in Records and Archives Management. She also holds an MA in Photographic Preservation and Collections Management from Ryerson University, and has worked with photographic and archival collections at George Eastman Museum in New York.
Outside work hours, Sarah can be found writing in a old pub or on a muddy country walk, where she will tell anyone she meets about the importance of preserving digital collections.
