Sara joined Artefactual in January 2016, moving across the continent from Toronto to add her talents to the AtoM and Archivematica projects. Holding a Master of Information in Archives and Records Management from the University of Toronto, Sara provides requirements analysis, user documentation, QA testing and community support for AtoM and Archivematica. Sara was formerly a Communications Librarian at Ryerson University Library and Archives, and before that was a Special Collections Librarian in the Digital Scholarship Unit at university of Toronto Scarborough.

Sara has a solid background in community involvement, having been active at various times in the Islandora Foundation, the Ontario Council of University Libraries, the Archives Association of Ontario, the Student Chapter of the Association of Canadian Archivists and numerous other organizations. She has a strong interest in technology and in the use of open-source software in libraries and archives.
