
In 2019, Jay completed a Master’s in Art History from Concordia University, where they developed a passion for research and a devotion to heritage accessibility. In particular, they are interested in the preservation and accessibility of heritage materials from marginalized communities. Jay advocates for the importance of these materials in affirming and strengthening communities. These interests brought them to pursue a Master’s in Information Studies from McGill University.
Before starting at Artefactual, Jay did archival consulting work for various heritage institutions creating workflows, retention policies and processing archival materials.
