Hector is a highly skilled Systems Administrator with many years experience managing Linux-based systems. He has a Master of Engineering Degree in Computer Science from Osaka University in Japan, and a Linux Professional Institute Advanced Level Linux Professional (LPIC-2) certification. Hector joined Artefactual Systems as a Systems Administrator in September 2014 and quickly became highly proficient in setting up and managing complex Archivematica installations. He monitors and maintains existing client servers; assists in application-level support; deploys and configures new client systems; and assists in the development of internal tools such as automated deployment scripts, backup systems and monitoring systems.

To this impressive skillset Hector adds the ability to speak English, Spanish and Japanese.
