David is an IT professional who came to Artefactual Systems with many years of Linux and UNIX server administration experience under his belt, building and maintaining environments for many different organizations – including some who were digitizing vital documents even prior to the World Wide Web! David has a Bachelor of Computer Science from the University of Victoria, is a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) through the Scrum Alliance, has an ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from EXIN International, and has participated in company Business Continuity Plan/Disaster Recovery Plan practice groups.

Here at Artefactual, David monitors and maintains existing client servers (os-level support); assists in application-level support; deploys and configures new client systems; and assists in the development of internal tools such as automated deployment scripts, backup systems and monitoring systems. David has a keen interest in the continuous improvement of our infrastructure for better performance, security and recoverability for our clients.
