Dan Gillean (he/him), MAS, MLIS : AtoM Program Manager

Dan leads the AtoM open-source project, focusing on development requirements analysis, software testing, documentation and community engagement.

Dan Gillean completed his Dual MAS/MLIS degree at the University of British Columbia’s School of Library, Archival, and Information Studies in 2013. While attending UBC, Dan also worked as an archival assistant at UBC Library’s Rare Books and Special Collections, a Digital Preservation Assistant at UBC’s Digital Initiatives, and a Graduate Research Assistant with the Records in the Cloud project. In 2015/2016, Dan held the British Columbia Archival Network Services Coordinator position with the Archives Association of British Columbia (AABC).

Dan is passionate about the intersection of archives, technology, and open-source. When he’s not trying to convince the archival profession to embrace linked open data, he can usually be found under a tree reading sci-fi, or in his bedroom twiddling knobs for his latest music project.
