Peter Van Garderen, who founded Artefactual Systems in 2001 and who served as its President for more than 12 years, has left Artefactual in order to complete his PhD at the University of Amsterdam and pursue a career in academia. We are sure he’ll be in hot demand as an expert in access and digital preservation, and wish him well as he moves into the realm of scholarly research. We plan to stay in close contact with Peter as we continue to develop Archivematica and AtoM and deliver development, technical support and consulting services to the digital curation community.
