On May 5, Artefactual and Jisc will be offering a webinar on how to get started with digital preservation using open tools, techniques and systems.

Jisc is a UK company that supports institutions of higher education to perform at the forefront of international practice by promoting the possibilities of digital empowerment and connectivity. Artefactual has been working with Jisc on preserving research data since 2016.

This webinar will outline the DPC RAM Service Capability Levels that can be achieved by using Archivematica. • The need for preservation
  • Assessing your current readiness
  • Making the case using the DPC Rapid Assessment Model
  • Practical application of open source tools, techniques and systems in the early stages of rolling out Preservation
  • Where to get started
