JISC, a non-profit organization that serves the technology needs of higher education institutions (HEIs) in the UK, has recently launched its Open Research Hub, a suite of services designed to assist HEIs to meet their digital research data curation and preservation needs. The Hub is a modular system with three, fully managed service options: end-to-end service, repository service and preservation service. We are proud to say that Archivematica is one of the preservation platforms; Artefactual worked with JISC for an 18-month period to integrate Archivematica into JISC’s data model and service platform, and we are excited to see the offering go live. Congratulations to JISC for providing this much-needed service!
