Archivematica Camp – Save the Date

Artefactual Systems is pleased to announce the first ever Archivematica Camp, which will be hosted by the University of Michigan School of Information, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, August 24 – 26, 2016.

Inspired by similar events like Hydra Camp, Islandora Camp and Fedora Camp, this event is intended to provide a space for anyone interested in or currently using Archivematica, to come together, learn about the platform and share their experiences.

Registration for this event will open in early March, 2016.  The cost will be $450 per person.

Archivematica Camp will be a 3 day event.  The syllabus will be of interest to both active and potential new users (archivists/conservators/librarians/digital preservationists) and developers/sys admins who are or will be supporting or customizing a digital preservation system for their organization.

This inaugural camp will include a one day Archivematica – Hydra/Fedora Integration Charette*.

Instructors will include staff from Artefactual Systems, archivists from the Bentley Historical Library,  Kari Smith (Digital Archivist, MIT Libraries)  and Ben Fino-Radin (Associate Media Conservator at the Museum of Modern Art).

More details will be posted when registration opens.
